I just wanted to inform everyone that I'll be hosting a weekly multi-sport talk radio show called "The Passion of the Chris" on Trent Radio - 92.7FM starting this Wednesday, March 3 from 6:30-7:30pm. Tim Hauraney and I had a similar show a couple of years ago, but like all good bands, Tim decided to pursue a successful solo career in Toronto. The show will focus on multi-sport topics (running, cycling, swimming, triathlon etc)and its athletes. The format will include interviews, round table discussions and audience interaction. Nowhere in Peterborough is there a show centered around multi-sport, so this is your chance to listen to something a little different.
For the season premiere, local marathon runner, Rory Gilfillan, will be in the studio. A self-proclaimed "lightning rod of controversy", Rory will be discussing his blog "Long Distance" and the culture of mediocrity. We will also delve into other areas such as the Peterborough Half Marathon and the physical and psychological impact that injury has on an athlete.
Again, you can catch my show this Wednesday, March 3rd from 6:30-7:30pm or listen online at
www.trentradio.ca
This show is designed to be dynamic and interactive, so
listeners are encouraged to phone in and comment or ask questions. The number at the studio is 748-4761. You can also write in at
dj@trentradio.ca and I may even read your comments live on-air. I hope you can tune in. Thanks a lot,
Chris Ott
