Hi Group,

First I am sorry for my lack of diligence in posting on this site to keep people up to date.

As most know we have moved back to starting from the Y for the winter.

Tuesdays and Thursdays:

Meet at the front doors of the Y for a 6:15 start. Some are members of the Y and change there others just meet inside the doors.

Generally we head to east city either to the Museum hill, the point just off of the rail road bridge or to the Rotary Trail.

This time of year it is hard to keep the quality of running up and the plan is to work on base for the spring.

Sundays:

There are generally two groups starting from the Y at 7:30 and 8:30 fro long runs.

Maybe someone could help me here and differentiate the groups as I don't attend this often enough.



Peterborough Half Marathon

Something to try in the lead up to the Peterborough Half is to try some tempo runs in your long runs. Aim for 4-6 miles at the end of your long runs at around or slightly less than anticipated half marathon pace. Ie if you are running 12 miles, 7 miles regular pace, 4 miles around race pace, one mile regular mile pace. Aim to do 2 or 3 of these with at lest one weekend in between of just regular long run pace.
